Car and motorbike enthusiasts and fans of speed and motorsports in the United Arab Emirates are eagerly awaiting the second edition of the Sharjah Car Festival, hosted by Al Majaz Amphitheater, an affiliate of the Sharjah Government Media Office, the February 26 and 27. more than 800 cars and motorcycles will be exhibited.

Sharjah’s Second Free Car Festival runs from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. and offers families two days of fun with various interactive activities, entertainment, games, music and contests aimed at introducing the public to the fascinating world of cars. Many valuable prizes are also up for grabs.

Sharjah Car Festival activities include the “All-in-One Family of Cars” show dedicated to all speed and thrill seekers. The show highlights the attractions of different car categories such as specialty cars, SUVs, classic cars, luxury cars and motorcycles.

Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of Sharjah Government Media Office, said: “The Sharjah Car Festival is part of Al Majaz Amphitheater’s plans and efforts to host world-class events and activities that respond to the interests and aspirations of the community of residents and visitors to the emirate.

Allay said Sharjah Car Festival this year has been extended for an extra day given its remarkable success last year and the tremendous interest it has generated from various segments of society across the country. .

The Sharjah Car Festival will see a number of competitions to choose the best entrants or winners in each of the categories of cars and motorcycles participating in the festival.

The list includes up to 26 different categories; the best American and non-American car (sport and sedan), the best SUV, the best Korean KDM car and the best Japanese car (sport and sedan), the best off-road vehicle and the vehicle with the best audio system.

Competition categories also include; Best Body Modification, Best Body Wrap Design and Best Hand Painted Body, Best Engine, Best Exterior, Best Interior, Best Classic Car and Best Classic Modified Car, Best Classic Truck, Best Innovative Car (Classic and Sport) , Best Mini, Best Paint Car, Best Adventure Car, Best Car and One Classic Fit.

The festival also includes contests to choose the winners in the categories; the best motorcycle, the best sports motorcycle, the best modified sports motorcycle, the best Baggers bike, the best portable bike, the best mountain bike, the best scooter and the best bike in the world, etc.

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is bringing back its popular Classic Car Festival for a second edition.

The 2nd edition of the Classic Car Festival, organized in collaboration with the Sharjah Old Cars Club, kicks off with a parade of classic cars on December 3, from the House of Wisdom to the Al Majaz waterfront. Themed “Cars & Coffee”, the festival will take place in five of Shurooq’s destinations, showcasing a priceless and comprehensive collection of classic and vintage cars on public display for five more weekends until March 4, 2022.

The festival organizes several workshops and creative activities for car enthusiasts, families and children in each participating Shurooq destination, as well as several traditional entertainment shows.

Coffee lovers will have the opportunity to sample unusual blends at these events, as a variety of specialty coffees in participating Shurooq destinations will include promotions on their premium F&B offerings.
