Ballykeeffe Amphitheater will be featured on RTE’s national broadcast


The Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre, the scene of many memorable concerts over the years, will be featured in an upcoming series of RTE’s Nationwide show.

The program which has been filmed over two visits to this scenic location will be a boost for Kilmanagh, Ballycallan, Killaloe and the community group of volunteers who have developed and run the spectacular outdoor venue.

Currently the band are making final preparations for the 2022 season opener with a tantalizing lineup of folk and traditional acts this Saturday June 25, starting with Kilkenny’s finest Reel to Reel making their debut. on the site. During the afternoon, they will be followed by Cormac Begley, Ye Vagabond, Andy Irvine and Donal Lunny, and to end the day, the leading trad group Altan.

The evening will end with a grand finale which will see all the singers and musicians of the day come together for a roof-raising session to end the day in a thrilling and explosive way.
