Camden Public Library plans to host SEA FAIR in the Atlantic Avenue Amphitheater from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, June 3.

The event is presented by the Stewardship Education Alliance (SEA) and sponsored by First National Bank and First National Wealth Management, according to a press release from the library.

SEA FAIR is an opportunity for the public to meet representatives of 20 local non-profit organizations and learn how they work to foster responsible environmental stewardship.

The fair is a free family event featuring activities for adults and children such as a mobile marine tank, children’s activity area and story time at 4 p.m. in the children’s garden.

Participating organizations include: University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Sea Grant; Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association; Megunticook Watershed Association; Herring Gut Coastal Science Centre; Coastal Mountains Land Trust; Maine Natural Resources Council; Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife; Wild Seed Project; Maine Farmland Trust; University of Maine 4-H Learning Center at Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove; Camden Shade Tree volunteers; The Center for Wildlife Studies; The Chewonki Foundation; Maine Audubon; Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership; Rockport Conservation Commission; Climate Action Learning Lab in Watershed Schools; Knox-Lincoln County Soil and Water District; Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry; and the Stewardship Education Alliance.

SEA works to increase community stewardship of local watersheds. The non-profit organization pursues its mission by providing grants to teachers in public and private schools and after-school programs in Appleton, Camden, Hope, Lincolnville and Rockport, and by organizing community events such as SEA FAIR, Marine Science Day and Poetry on Windows.
