Campanile Productions Community Theater Presents Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”

Ten years ago, a small group of like-minded citizens recognized a void in Hopkinsville’s cultural scene and decided to fill it.

The then Pennyroyal Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) asked a local doctor if he would be willing to direct a theatrical production of The beauty and the Beastbecause such community-wide broadcasts had been absent for some time. What was originally intended to be a one-time event has grown into a decade of musicals and plays from Campanile Productions. Of Goodbye Birdie most recently, Annie, Hopkinsville and the surrounding community were able to enjoy high quality entertainment with local talent.

We are now a non-profit community theater organization. We are currently renting a warehouse / rehearsal space (the “old” Goodwill building) in Fort. Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville. We rent the Alhambra theater for our performances.

Our vision for Campanile Productions is to become that focal point in our community for quality entertainment and a reminder to both actors and audiences that they can rise above their circumstances as well. The result is a stronger community because its citizens have been reminded that they have a purpose and can strive for excellence. They develop a sense of pride in who they are and take ownership of the community in which they live.

Campanile’s mission has always been to educate, entertain and inspire. of this season The beauty and the Beast will be no exception. This show is in Disney fashion! Expect spectacular dance numbers, mind-blowing special effects, and all the songs you know by heart!

Will the bookish Belle choose the local hunter and hunk, Gaston, or will she find love with a prince’s beast who has lived alone in his enchanted castle under a dark and karmic spell? Come see the show and find out!
