Spring break camps for kids

As spring break approaches, some parents may need help finding ways to fill free time with fun and enriching activities for their children. Here are five day camps for your children to learn and engage during their school break.

Saving plants in preparation for new Owen Beach entrances

Students from the Tacoma Science and Math Institute recently partnered with Metro Parks to save several native plant species as preparations continue for the new Point Defiance park entrance road to Owen Beach. Learn more about the environmental effort here.

Caterpillar Craft at Job Carr Cabin Museum

The Job Carr Cabin Museum in Tacoma is offering free socially distanced crafting opportunities every Saturday through its take-out craft kits. On March 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., children can pick up a caterpillar-themed craft to make for spring on the front porch of the museum, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Olympia Family Theater
