Tickets will cost $ 16 for adults, $ 14 for seniors, and $ 12 for students, including college students who show valid ID.
The Old Colony Players also sells VIP track tickets that go to the public. They cost $ 25 per person and there are only eight per show, Pruitt said.
The amphitheater is not covered, but the show will continue, rain or shine.
All who attend the production will be encouraged to wear their masks and practice social distancing in the amphitheater. Chairs will be provided, but participants are also allowed to bring their own chairs.
Pruitt looks forward to the continued development of theater in Burke County through the Old Colony Players. She is grateful to the organization’s sponsors and how they were able to keep theater alive in the region throughout the pandemic.
âOld Colony Players is Burke County’s community theater,â said Pruitt. âPeople think we’re right for Valdese, but we serve Burke County and the greater region. Most of our cast are, frankly, outside of Burke County and we want to be open to everyone.
âWe were one of the few theaters that were able to continue the theater during the pandemic because we have this incredible outdoor space right in the middle of the city of Valdese. So we were able to do it safely and it was very important to us. “
