On June 4, internationally acclaimed artist Marc Broussard will perform at the Carrollton Amphitheater to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of our region’s most respected construction service providers. The event will focus on raising funds to expand neurological care in our community.
Founded in 1972 by Ray Fulford and his wife Linda, RA-LIN has built landmark projects in the growth of our region for five decades. Projects included corporate, cultural, civic, medical, educational, athletic, and industrial buildings for Tanner Health System, West Georgia University, Southwire Corporation, and other notable organizations.
Mt. Zion High School in Georgia was one of the company’s first groundbreaking projects, and over the years RA-LIN has completed more school buildings in Georgia than any other contractor in the state.
RA-LIN’s 50th anniversary will be commemorated with a free concert featuring Marc Broussard and local opening act – Deni Phoenix and the Fervor. The event is in partnership with Fulford and Friends, Tanner Medical Foundation and the City of Carrollton. 100% of proceeds from sponsorships and donations will benefit the James R. Fulford Endowed Chair in Neurology at the Tanner Foundation.
The endowment was established in 2018 by RA-LIN founders Ray and Linda Fulford. Inspired by their personal experience after Ray was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012 and bulbar-onset ALS in 2019, their vision was to ensure that others in need of neurological care could find it in our community. .
A nationwide shortage of neurologists forces many patients to travel for hours or wait months for neurological care. The Fulford family learned that traveling to and from appointments in Atlanta was exhausting and stressful during an already stressful time.
The Tanner Foundation James R. Fulford Endowed Chair in Neurology will accelerate the Tanner Health System’s neurology program by years, if not decades, through physician recruitment, program development, and expanded care. After a pause in fundraising due to the pandemic, today over $1 million has been raised towards the $1.5 million goal to complete the fund.
