NEW ULM – State Street Theater Co. has appointed Sandra Juni to its team as Executive Director. Mary Ellen Domeier had fulfilled this role as a volunteer for several years.
“The Board is thrilled to have Sandra join our team,” said board chairman Mikhail Rostislavovich. “We plan to assist Sandra over the next few months of transition as she assumes administrative operations under the direction of Mary Ellen.”
“It’s all about succession planning,” said Domeier. “It gives me the opportunity to work with Sandra, helping her get to grips with the theater’s business plan.”
Domeier, who is chairman emeritus, will continue to serve as chief financial officer, handling everything from bookkeeping to grant writing and other fundraising needs. As Executive Director, Juni will oversee the administrative work and OHS committees.
“I am excited to commit to State Street Theatre, returning to my early career goal of being actively involved in the performing arts,” Juni said.
She has been involved in theater since the age of 10, gaining experience in set design and construction, stage management and costumes, productions. Her bachelor’s degree is in education, with a minor in theater and music. She earned a master’s degree in English language learning and has spent the past 30 years in the field of education. “People ask me what my plans are for the theatre. My answer is that I want to familiarize myself with the board’s vision and do whatever I can to help them achieve it.
