POSTPONED: SEA FAIR scheduled for Camden Amphitheater

Due to forecast rain on Friday June 3, the SEA Fair has been rescheduled and rescheduled for Friday June 10, 1-5 p.m., in the Camden Amphitheater.

CAMDEN – On Friday, June 10, from 1-5 p.m., Camden Public Library will host an afternoon of learning and entertainment in the amphitheater at SEA FAIR, presented by the Stewardship Education Alliance and sponsored by First National Bank and First National Wealth Management. . SEA FAIR is an opportunity for the public to meet representatives of twenty local non-profit organizations and learn how they work to promote responsible environmental management.

The fair is a free family event with activities for adults and children, including a mobile sea tank, children’s activity area and story time with librarian Miss Amy at 4 p.m. in the children’s garden.

Participating organizations include: University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Sea Grant; Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association; Megunticook Watershed Association; Herring Gut Coastal Science Centre; Coastal Mountains Land Trust; Natural Resources of Maine; Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife; Wild Seed Project; Maine Farmland Trust; University of Maine 4-H Learning Center at Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove; Camden Shade Tree volunteers; The Center for Wildlife Studies; The Chewonki Foundation; Maine Audubon; Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership; Rockport Conservation Commission; Climate Action Learning Lab in Watershed Schools; Knox-Lincoln County Soil and Water District; Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry; and the Stewardship Education Alliance.

SEA works to increase community stewardship of our local watersheds. The non-profit organization pursues its mission by providing grants to teachers in public and private schools and after-school programs in Appleton, Camden, Hope, Lincolnville and Rockport, and by organizing community events such as SEA FAIR, Marine Science Day and Poetry. on Windows.
