After no concerts in 2020 and a lighter schedule in 2021, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater has 32 concerts booked for 2022 at Tinley Park.

“We are extremely excited. Last season we crammed a lot of shows into about two months. We opened in August of last year and closed in October, so knowing we have a full season is so amazing,” said Katie Rose, VP of Marketing/Midwest for Live Nation.

“It’s such a good formation that we have this year.”

The Hollywood Casino Amphitheater, which is owned and operated by Live Nation, more than doubled the 15 concerts the outdoor venue presented in 2021.

The season begins at 7:30 p.m. on June 3 with AJR’s The OK Orchestra tour. The multi-platinum indie pop trio includes brothers Adam Met (bass and vocals), Jack Met (vocals and guitar) and Ryan Met (ukulele, piano and vocals). BoyWithUke and Blue Man Group get the ball rolling. Tickets cost between $22 and $80 and up.

“We are thrilled to have AJR in the venue this year,” said Rose of the Avondale Community of Chicago.

“I love it because you can see how excited this band is. They’re fans of all demographics. You have young kids, parents and older fans. It’s such a great show and it’s interactive. Blue Man Group is supporting. It’s going to be such a fun show.

The Hollywood Casino Amphitheater opening weekend also includes the Live & UnZoomed Tour co-led by Styx and REO Speedwagon with Loverboy at 6:45 p.m. on June 4. Tickets cost between $22 and $554 and up.

Multi-platinum rock band Styx, which is touring in support of its 2021 album ‘Crash of the Crown’, has roots in Chicago’s Roseland community while REO Speedwagon, which is known for hits such as ‘Keep on Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” features Oak Lawn native Kevin Cronin on vocals.

“Styx and REO are going to be hitting all night. It’s going to be such a great night of classic rock,” said Rose, who also works with Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom, House of Blues Chicago, Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island, and Alpine Valley Music Theater in Wisconsin.

Other gigs Rose said she is looking forward to at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater include The Chicks, Tears for Fears with Garbage, Josh Groban, Halsey, Imagine Dragons and country artists Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Keith Urban. .

“We also have ‘Encanto’, which is a solo concert. It will be an orchestra playing music and fans singing along to the movie,” she said, adding that another family show is Kidz Bop Kids performing top 40 hits.

According to Rose, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater’s new amenities include four giant LED screens that face the lawn, while concessions include Art Bird, Trejo’s Tacos, Volt Burger, Tim Love’s Nachos and Questlove’s Cheesesteaks.

“I love walking into the room because you have this wonderful feeling of knowing you’re going to witness something completely magical,” Rose said.

Shows also include Nick Cannon Presents: MTV Wild ‘N Out Live; Q101 Picniq with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats; Steely Dan; Maverick City Music and Kirk Franklin; Santana and Earth, wind and fire; Train; Rod Stewart with Rockford’s Cheap Trick; The black keys; and Chicago and Brian Wilson.

Backstreet Boys; A republic; Chris Brown; Rob Zombie and Mudvayne; Incubus; Kid Rock; Korn and Evanescence; Alice in Chains and Breaking Benjamin, who trained at Grayslake; Sammy Hagar and the circle; Wu-Tang Clan and Nas; and Five Finger Death Punch are also reserved.

“It’s fantastic. We’re thrilled to have the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater back at full capacity,” said Donna Framke, Marketing Director for the Village of Tinley Park, which has changed its name in recent years to “Life Amplified “.

Tinley Park has leaned into music at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater as well as bars and restaurants, outdoor village concerts and special events, and through award-winning school bands.

“We’re getting to be known for our live music offerings,” said Framke of Orland Park.

“It’s really because of the amphitheater and the world-famous acts it brings here.”
