Z Specialty Food Nectar Manager Joshua Zeldner wrote a letter inviting people to The HIVE for a fun weekend or holiday event to enjoy its tasting room, music, and peaceful surroundings.
“While it seems like we can’t eradicate COVID-19 like many of us had hoped, we can at least give ourselves the gift of presence and gratitude,” Zeldner pointed out in an email. -mail. “At The HIVE, we take it easy. Our goal is to deliver an experience that is nothing short of extraordinary, so that every decision carries its own weight.
Her “Valentines at The HIVE” event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 12. Specials will be mango habañero pulled pork tacos, a strawberry and chocolate dip platter, and new meads.
Boot Juice, a modern Americana sextet and retro-country band, will be present at the event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Zeldner noted that he and his team are learning to operate a tasting room, bar, cafe and event space and eventually plan to extend hours and be open every Saturday.
“I invite you to find comfort and peace in our gardens and courtyard,” he said. “Share a bottle of mead with old friends. Come for the music, come for the food. Come for the games, come relax.

The Woodland State Theater and Multiplex was recently mentioned in a Comstock article about booming movie theaters during the pandemic.
“Employers were left without their jobs when the theater closed in March 2020,” the article said. “When the theater announced it would reopen about a year later, hope began to grow in the community that it would pull through.”
Abel Preciado, the theater’s assistant manager, said the theater has been booming since it reopened, especially with big movies coming out like “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
